Launching of the new phase of the DHAAP/PEPFAR project with the Cameroon military under HEADA

HEADA is honored and proud to announce that it has successfully taken over the HIV care and treatment program funded by the U.S. Department of Defense HIV/AIDS Prevention Program (DHAPP) with financial support from the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), previously implemented in the Cameroonian army by the U.S.-based organization METABIOTA (2015-2023). From October 1, 2023, the new phase of the program scheduled for 2024-2027 will be implemented by local organization HEADA as the main beneficiary. The closing/launch ceremony was organized at the Ministry of Defense on September 21, 2023, under the high patronage of the Cameroonian Minister Delegate to the Presidency in charge of Defense represented at the ceremony by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense in the presence of the representative of the US Ambassador to Cameroon and the representative of the Minister of Public Health..
