CDC Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Project

In collaboration with Ministries of Health and key public and private partners, including major donors like the World Bank and the Gates Foundation, the U.S. Government (USG) is committed to strengthening global health security. The goal is to mitigate infectious disease threats and establish health security as a global priority.

For decades, the CDC has been at the forefront of global health security, playing a pivotal role in the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA). Its approach is grounded in science and centers on three fundamental pillars: Prevention, Detection, and Response.

Through its partnership with Cameroon’s Ministry of Public Health, the CDC-GHSA project aims to enhance the country’s capacity to prevent and manage infectious disease outbreaks, ensuring a safer and more resilient health system.
